The day after Thanksgiving marks the start of the holiday season in our household. While we won't break out our Christmas decorations until the first weekend in December, I'm already thinking of ways to incorporate bits of the garden in our festive decor. We always get a fresh-cut tree and live poinsettias to complement the lights and garland, and I've even made natural wreaths from old willow and dogwood branches.
When I was in Arkansas last May at Garden2Blog, hosted by P. Allen Smith and his partners, I learned that the Berry Family of Nurseries would be offering fresh holiday wreaths and decorations as a part of the P. Allen Smith Holiday Collection (available online at HomeDepot.com). Judging by the style presented in Allen's home, I knew the holiday collection would be beautiful and refined.
