This morning's temperature and humidity met in perfect harmony to produce a glistening hoar frost throughout the garden. Nearly all the leaves, seed heads, small branches, buds, fruit, and needles in the landscape formed a foundation for this fuzzy covering that sparkled in the bright sun.

Below are just a sampling of photos of the hoar frost.

Cercis canadensis (Eastern Redbud)

Clematis ternifolia (Sweetautumn Clematis)

Malus 'Prairie Fire' (Crabapple)

Rosa 'Home Run'

Rosa 'Home Run'

Clematis 'Jackmanii'

Pinus mugo (Mugo Pine)

Rudbeckia sp. (Black-Eyed Susan)
